TOBIN Times Staff Writer ST. PETERSBURG So much happened that it takes 10 minutes for Paula Noggle to tell how her husband, "Jack the Barber," went down hill after a lifetime of good health. It started with the sore tooth about six years ago, which led doctors to the cancer in his jaw, which led to the discovery that his arteries were badly occluded.

No wonder it had bothered him in later years to stand at the barber's chair for hours. After jaw surgery May 30, Jack Noggle came home Sunday. He served 30 years active duty in the Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam during the infamous 1968 Tet offensive. "The first thing I think I fell in love with was his eyes," Paula said. "He had the softest, brownest eyes that pretty much let you know this was a gentle man." On their wedding day, July 31, 1982, Jack was cutting hair at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony was at 6.
