The food was really good, I wish they still have the bún bò on the menu but my friends and I loved their phở. The spring rolls were freshly fried, it’s a must try! Very clean and service was friendly. We will be back!

Foods are good but not everything are available on the menu. I understand they’re recently opened but maybe open a full menu later?Menu should have some sort of photos about the foods, it’s better for people to choose.Egg rolls are good, spring rolls are fresh but the meaning in Vietnamese are mixed up.Pork chop rice is good, sauce is sweet and salty. I think it’s better to have sauce on the side if you want to have a taste first. But if you want the sauce on top of everything, it’s already on default.

Excellent Pho and prawns dish was delicious. Very clean and food came out quickly. The prices are higher but that is reflected in the high quality of food. A new must try in Springfield before it becomes very popular.

With the good reviews, we decided to try Saucy Rice. My wife is vegetarian, so we looked at the online menu and saw no vegetarian dishes. We called the restaurant and were told that they offer vegetarian dishes only on Thursday. So yesterday evening, we went to Saucy Rice.The place was empty when we arrived about 7:30; a bit later, three more diners arrived. My wife asked what vegetarian dishes were ordered, and the server gave her three choices; she chose tofu with mushrooms. I ordered egg rolls and Vietnamese meatballs. Hot tea wasn't available.He came back in a couple of minutes, and told my wife there were no vegetarian options that night. He also said they were out of meatballs. He offered my wife friend rice with broccoli and carrots; she accepted; it was very good. I ordered the sauteed prawns. The egg rolls were not and crisp but overcooked and almost flavorless. My prawns were large, but the meat sauce with them was a strange accompaniment and just didn't go with the prawns and rice. It would have been better on noodles.The restaurant was spotless, and the dinner music was pleasant. A number of items on the printed menu are blanked out.

As far as I am concerned, this is the only bowl of pho that exists in Springfield, IL.It's authentic, generous in size and absolutely delicious. The bowl is served with a side of bean sprouts, jalapeno (careful, they can be spicy), lime, Thai basil, hoisin sauce and spicy sauce. You can add in any sides you want, but first try the broth without any alterations first. You'll find a wonderful beefy broth rich with aromatic flavors that are only enhanced with the garnishes.While other restaurants in Springfield serve many types of "Asian Cuisine" (thus having a menu clogged with many mediocre dishes that never quite hit the spot), Saucy Rice is unapologetically Vietnamese and absolutely excels in what they cook.In addition to being a pho enthusiast, the meatballs simmered in tomato sauce were tender, moist and had a complex tomato sauce that was incredibly addictive. I'm pretty sure I'll be licking that leftover container clean...The inside is modern and yet embraces many traditional Vietnamese motifs. I highly recommend this restaurant.
